Plagiarism Policy

GSB Insight: Journal of Business and Research is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing.

Authors submitting manuscripts must ensure that their work is entirely original and that all sources are properly acknowledged.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software as part of the editorial review process.

Similarity reports are carefully evaluated by the editorial team, taking into account the context and nature of any overlapping content.

Types of Plagiarism

The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, including:

  • Direct Plagiarism – Copying text verbatim without proper citation
  • Self-Plagiarism – Reusing previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment
  • Mosaic Plagiarism – Paraphrasing ideas without proper attribution
  • Improper Citation – Failure to correctly acknowledge sources

Editorial Assessment

Similarity percentages are used only as a supporting tool and not as the sole basis for editorial decisions.

Each manuscript is assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering:

  • The extent and context of overlapping material
  • Proper use of quotations and citations
  • Accepted academic practices within the discipline

Actions in Case of Plagiarism

If plagiarism or unethical overlap is identified, the journal may take appropriate action, including:

  • Requesting revisions and proper citation
  • Rejecting the manuscript
  • Notifying the author’s institution (in serious cases)
  • Restricting or declining future submissions from the author(s)

Author Responsibility

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been published elsewhere
  • All sources are properly cited and acknowledged
  • The manuscript complies with ethical and academic standards

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

However, the use of AI must comply with the following guidelines:
