Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Submission to GSB Insights: Journal of Business & Research

  • Submission Intent: Submitting a manuscript to GSB Insights: Journal of Business & Research implies the author's intent to publish with this journal.
  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Cover Page Requirements: The cover page should include the article title, author's name, addresses, phone number, and email address. These details should only appear on the cover page, not anywhere in the main manuscript.
  • Manuscript Structure:
    • The manuscript should not contain author details
    • Follow with the original paper, including the title, an abstract (150-200 words), 5-6 keywords, the main text (3000-5000 words) and references.
    • All other related files, if any can be added in the Annexure.
  • Formatting:
    • Font: Manuscripts should be written in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman.
    • Spacing: Use 1.5 line spacing throughout.
    • Title and Headings: The title should be 14-point bold, headings 12-point bold, subheadings 11-point italics, and body text 11-point regular.
  • Tables and Figures: Number tables and figures sequentially. Include sources at the bottom of each.
  • Citation Style: Authors must properly cite all sources using the latest APA citation style.
  • Peer Review Process: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review. Based on the Editorial Board's recommendations, articles may be accepted, rejected, or recommended for revisions.
  • Editorial Assessment: An editor will initially assess whether submissions align with the journal’s aims and scope. If deemed appropriate, the manuscript will proceed to peer review.
  • Permissions: Authors must secure permissions to publish any included material, such as photos, documents, or datasets. All authors must consent to their identification as authors. Ethical approval should be obtained for research, as required by the study's country.
  • Quality Standards: Editors may desk-reject submissions that do not meet quality standards. Ensure the study design and research argument are clearly structured and articulated. The title should be concise, and the abstract should be informative enough to stand alone.
  • Copy Rights Form: Copy rights form need not be submitted during the initial submission of article. It can be submitted after the acceptance for publication. 

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting, ensure:

  • The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The cover page includes all necessary contact details.
  • The manuscript is formatted according to journal guidelines.
  • All sources are properly cited.
  • Permissions have been obtained for all materials used.
  • The study has been ethically approved, if applicable.
  • The submission meets the journal’s quality standards for clarity and structure.

Once your article is accepted for publication in GSB Insight: Journal of Business and Research, each author must complete and sign a copyright agreement form. Please review the Explanatory Notes below, follow the instructions, and send the signed forms, in electronic format, to the Editor, together with the article's final version.

Purpose of Copyright Assignment

To facilitate the widest dissemination and protection of materials published in GSB Insight: Journal of Business and Research, authors must assign the copyright of their articles (including abstracts) to the journal. This assignment ensures:

  • Protection against copyright infringement.
  • Broad dissemination of your article and the journal.

Copyright Assignment Agreement

1. Assignment of Rights: Upon acceptance by GSB Insight: Journal of Business and Research (hereafter 'the Journal'), the Author(s),  assigns and transfers the copyright of their article  to the Journal.  This grant includes the exclusive right to publish the article in any format (printed, electronic, CD-ROM,microfiche, etc.),and the right to sublicense publication or distribution rights. 

 2. Reserved Rights: The Author(s) retain the following rights:

  • All proprietary rights other than copyrights, such as patent rights.
  • The right to use all or part of the article, including tables and figures, in future works with appropriate acknowledgement to the Publisher.
  • The right to make copies for personal use, but not for sale

 3. Legal and Ethical Compliance: The article contains no unlawful material and does not infringe on any proprietary or personal rights, including copyrights or privacy rights is factually accurate and free from unlawful content and represents original work, with substantial participation by the Author(s).

4. Financial Interest: The Author(s) certify that they have no undisclosed financial interest in the article's subject matter, apart from any previously disclosed affiliations.

5. Plagiarism: The author(s) bear sole responsibility for any instances of plagiarism identified in the article after publication. The journal and its board members cannot be held liable.

6. Originality: The final version of the article submitted is not substantially similar to any previously published work.

7. Liability: The Journal, its staff, and editorial board members are not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the use of methods, products, instructions, advertisements, or ideas published in the Journal.

8. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved by the Journal, whose decision is final.
